Estimates

Estimates are free and are based on what can be seen at the walk-through. If conditions underground turn out to be different — rock, springs, buried material, unmarked lines — the work and the price are discussed with you before anything continues.

Scheduling and weather

Ground work depends on weather and ground conditions. Dates are given in good faith and can move when the ground is saturated, frozen or unsafe to work.

Underground lines

Public utilities are located through NC 811 before digging. Private lines — septic, wells, irrigation, power to outbuildings — are the property owner's to point out.

Permits

Some work, including demolition, septic systems, larger land disturbance and work near streams, can need permits. Who obtains them is agreed before the job starts.

Payment

Payment terms are set out on the estimate for each job.

Insurance

Hazy River Earthworks is fully insured. Ask about coverage when you get your estimate.

Safety on site

Working machines are dangerous. Please keep children, pets and vehicles well clear of the work area while equipment is running, and let the crew know about anything on the property that could affect safe work.
